Surgical Safety
The Surgical Safety Checklist (SSCL) compliance indicator is a process measure, and refers to the percentage of surgeries in which a three-phase surgical safety checklist was performed correctly and appropriately for each surgical patient. This program ensures that the right information is available to the right members of the team.
The checklist consists of three phases: the briefing, time out and debriefing. All three phases mst be completed on each client entering the Operating Room. The completion of the three phases will be the indicator for our compliance rates.
